I announced this late Tuesday evening, Telangana Minister of IT and Industry KT Rama Rao, who is currently on a turbulent business trip across the United States, tweeted that StateStreet in Hyderabad is expanding rapidly, creating 5,000 new jobs.
“Good news from Boston. Big boost for BFSI sector (banking, financial services and insurance) in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is now the second largest location for StateStreet after its headquarters in Boston. So proud!!” tweeted KTR from Boston, where he met the financial giant’s top executives on Tuesday.
KTR said that StateStreet is not only hiring some exciting positions in AI augmentation, data analytics and new technologies, but also has global positions for accounting, human resources and other functions in Hyderabad.
StateStreet, America’s second oldest financial institution founded in 1792, had settled in Hyderabad in late 2017 after opening a presence in Bengaluru and Mumbai and opened its Hyderabad presence with the acquisition of a 2,300,000 sqm space in the heart of Hyderabad’s IT hub – Hitech City.
