Numerous reports have confirmed that Lauren Sánchez is now engaged to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. The pair have been together since 2019, but Bezos, 59, apparently popped the question over the weekend when the two were vacationing in Cannes aboard his $500million yacht.

The couple were spotted together at a premiere of the upcoming Martin Scorese movie on Saturday night. killer of the flower moon, and then the next day on Bezos’ huge yacht called Koru, meaning Loop-in is Māori. The yacht also features a wooden sculpture modeled after Sánchez at the bow.
Who is Lauren Sanchez?
Bezos’ bride-to-be is an Emmy-winning journalist and former host of Good Day LA on Fox 11. Sánchez is also a licensed pilot. She founded Black Ops Aviation in 2016, the first female-owned aerial film and production company.
Though the origin of her relationship with Bezos isn’t entirely clear, the book says the pair met back in 2016 at a party for the Amazon Studios film Manchester by the Sea Amazon unbound.
A few years later, Bezos hired Sánchez’s production company to shoot footage for his space company, Blue Origin. The couple quietly began dating while Bezos finalized his divorce with his first wife in 25 years, MacKenzie Scott.
Sanchez has been married twice. Her first husband was NFL player Tony Gonzales. Her second husband was Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell.

A shared passion for the environment
Aside from blasting into space, Bezos and Sánchez have a common interest in it combating climate change. Sánchez serves as Vice Chairman of the Bezos Earth Fund, which has pledged $10 billion, or about 8% of Bezoz’s net worth, over 10 years to be “disbursed in grants to fight climate and nature within the current decade.” Bezos has also promised this donates most of his wealth to combat climate change.
While the couple hasn’t spoken much publicly about their relationship, Sánchez praised Bezos on her Instagram page, writing, “You showed me that there’s no great love that doesn’t take courage to fight for. Thank you for always being by my side and for being the love, most loving and supportive partner.”
