CHENNAI: A piece of Tamil diaspora in Dallas (US), organised a protest on Saturday in opposition to the three language coverage and alleged imposition of Hindi in Tamil Nadu.
Holding placards in opposition to the central govt’s Nationwide Training Coverage (NEP) the protesters stated, “Do not threaten Tamils. Do not impose Hindi. We do not want the three language coverage.”
Supporting the protest, Tamil Nadu chief minister M Ok Stalin shared its information clipping on his social media deal with and wrote, “Let Tamil reside for lengthy.”
There have been sporadic protests throughout Tamil Nadu condemning the central govt for withholding funds to the Samagra Shiksha Abhi-yan scheme.
The protests intensified after Union training minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated Rs 2,152 crore for the scheme might be launched provided that the state agreed to implement NEP.
