comment of the week
“Thanks Mark for your comments on swimming.
I hope you don’t mind if I tell a personal story?
I spent my teenage years in Germany and Germany has, I might add, the best indoor and outdoor swimming pools in the world. When we were there in high school in the 1980’s, our last two lessons every Friday were dedicated to mandatory swimming, where the instructor taught us proper swimming techniques for the first lesson and then allowed free play after that. My passion for swimming was born and I haven’t stopped swimming ever since. I love it! As you said, swimming isn’t just about cardio, it’s also strength training and it has many, many cognitive benefits as well. I swim 4 times a week – 45 – 60 minutes.
Thanks again.”
-Nice!
