NEW DELHI: The road ahead Go ahead — which is trying to rebuild itself amid the ruins of Jet Airways’ so far unsuccessful NCLT route revitalization plan — won’t be easy. The preliminary solution professional (IRP)-led new management must convince aviation authorities that Go First is safe to fly and that it can actually operate the flights it is ticketing after receiving permission to do so.
The operational (non-financial) protocol adopted in recent months that Jet Airways was following prior to its April 2019 shutdown could serve as a guide to Go First once it’s allowed to fly again.
“The Intellectual property must respond to the showcause issued by DGCA to decide the fate of the airline’s license. He must demonstrate that the airline has the financial means to safely operate flights on the number of aircraft Go First intends to resume operations with. Go management is being asked how many pilots, engineers, post holders and other key airline personnel remain,” a senior official said.
“But nobody can order Go First to fly. “It must first demonstrate that it has the resources to do so safely,” an official said.
