MUMBAI: India’s foreign exchange reserve jumped by $4.8 billion to $640.5 billion within the week ended Feb 21, Reserve Financial institution stated on Friday. Within the earlier reporting week, the general reserves had dropped by $2.5 billion to $635.7 billion. The reserves have been on a declining development for a number of weeks on account of revaluation together with foreign exchange market interventions by RBI to assist cut back volatility within the rupee. The foreign exchange kitty had elevated to an all-time excessive of $704.9 billion in end-Sept 2024.
