NEW DELHI: Srichand Parmanand Hinduja, the eldest of the four Hinduja Brothers and Chairman of Hinduja groupdied in London On Wednesday. He wasn’t well for a while. He was 87.
The Hinduja family patriarch and his brothers Gopichand and Prakash have been accused of receiving almost SEK 81 million in illegal commissions to support the Swedish arms manufacturer AB Bofors secure an order from the Indian government. However, a court cleared her.
“It is with heavy hearts that Gopichand, Prakash, Ashok and the entire Hinduja family regret to announce today the death of our family patriarch and Chairman of the Hinduja Group, Mr. SP Hinduja,” a family spokesman said.
He was a British citizen and died in London.
