I am pleased to announce that I am speaking to Romi Gubes, the CEO of Sensi.AI, a startup that has developed 24/7 audio-based AI software to detect physical, cognitive and emotional abnormalities related to the Recognizing and predicting care that may impact the health and well-being of those receiving home care to prevent adverse events. We will cover a number of topics in the interview, most notably the technical side of Sensi.AI’s platform, which monitors patient rooms in a ostensibly privacy-friendly manner. Naturally, given the tendency of algorithms to detect bias in the data they are trained on, there is a lot of skepticism about technologies like Sensi.AI.
Gubes will talk about the technical processes of Sensi.AI and the steps taken to combat false positives and bias. She will also tell us how Sensi.AI came to be and how it has managed to raise $25 million in venture capital to date, despite the challenges in the start-up economy in general and the competitiveness of the healthcare technology market.
Gubes and Gribov will also appear outside of Sensi.AI to discuss the growing interest in AI for a range of applications from healthcare to industrial control and marketing. Gribov will provide the investor’s perspective, offering support for – or against – the notion that AI enthusiasm isn’t fading anytime soon. He is well equipped to do this, having worked in IT, software development, operations and general management for over 15 years.
