Google: Google to pay $39.9 million to Washington state over location tracking practices

Google will pay Washington State $39.9 million to settle a lawsuit alleging the company misled consumers about its location tracking practices, Attorney General Bob Ferguson said Thursday.
The comparison also requires Google, a unit of alphabet inc to implement reforms that increase transparency about location tracking settings.
